Head of Evangelical community:Islam and Christianity call for co-existence

Cairo – Dr. ‘André Zaki’, head of evangelical community in Egypt said that the International Conference entitled “freedom and citizenship  … diversity and integration” raises a subject which occupies the thought of each seeker for a better future for the peoples of the world. The principles of religion in Islam and Christianity alike call for co-existence and stresses the importance of diversity, pointing out that the trend to exclude or to get rid of the other, in some cases, completely opposes the tolerance of religion and the international conventions on human rights.
In his speech during the conference, which was convened by Al-Azhar and the Council of Elder Muslims, Dr. ‘Zaki’ said that pluralism is an important basis for living together and the basis for the survival and diversity because there is no peace or progress without pluralism, and the pluralism that is being practiced in the context of the totalitarianism creates cohesion, surpasses the traditional schisms and encourages the development of civil society and democracy, and so cohesion between different community groups is achieved.
He explained that the comprehensive citizenship process exceeds equality to reach justice, through linking political rights with economic, social and cultural rights, which promotes pluralism and goes beyond ethnic and quality loyalties, and in order to achieve effective citizenship, it is necessary to provide written laws and there should be organizations that take over the application and the protection of these laws.

Shock troops roll into most dangerous stronghold of ‘Ansar Bayt Al Makdys’ in Al-Arish

Sinai – On Wednesday dawn, the shock troops kept on breaking into the dangerous olive farms in the south of Al-Arish city as the armed forces rolled into Jihad Abu Tabl farms for the first time as the ground forces spent their night inside the olive farms after the air forces had exhausted the Takfiri elements in those farms which extends for 30 kilometers to the south of Al-Arish and with a depth of 20 kilometers and they have a large desert background.
The air and artillery strikes were concentrated on this area completely to exhaust the terrorist elements and to pave the ground for an unprecedented ground storming into the most dangerous strongholds of the terrorist “Ansar Bayt Al Makdys” group in the history of Sinai.
The forces discovered mine fields spread on the outskirts of ‘Jihad Abu Tabl” farms and found the body remains and burnt corpses due to the aerial bombardment which continued over the past two days. The forces also discovered hideouts, underground shelters, arms and explosives storerooms while the Takfiri elements withdrew from ‘Jihad Abu Tabl’ farms to other distant and sequestered areas inside the olive farms.
The police forces in Al-Arish also launched numerous security crackdowns on many districts inside Al-Arish especially on the districts adjacent to the olive farms in the south of Al-Arish, as Al-samran, Al-safa and Al-Masaeed districts to arrest any Tafiri element escaping from the olive farms toward the residential blocks.
